And the award goes to no one. |

There is no trophy for hiding your feelings and not expressing them, pretending to be okay when we are not, staying in a relationship because of not wanting to hurt the other person, normalizing abuse and toxic behaviour, not saying things that needed to be said, always being right and never allowing yourself to fail, not allowing people to assume things about you and always wanting to change their narrative. |
There are no awards for putting your dreams on hold just because you had responsibilities towards your family, not putting yourself first, not wanting to live the life you desired, staying on with something that is not for you anymore, choosing perfection over progress, allowing others to control your thoughts and your life, allowing your worth to be determined by strangers, making yourself small for the comfort of others, convincing people that you are lovable, sabotaging your happiness, ignoring the red flags, becoming putty in the hands of your employers.
No one will ever clap for you ever for being too hard on yourself, not asking for help when you needed it the most, not wanting to trouble someone because you feared rejection and ridicule, allowing others to walk all over you, living in victimhood to feel loved, heard and accepted, being revengeful and full of anger, resentment and hatred, caring more about others’ opinions than yours, not taking charge of your healing, pleasing people and doing things for others far out of your comfort zone while being a total mess yourself.
There are never any accolades for holding grudges, hiding your gifts and talents, hoarding your poems and art, not having time, not getting enough sleep, not getting enough hydration, not forgiving yourself, not setting boundaries, changing others without changing yourself, bringing up children who do just what they are told to do, always smiling because everyone expects you to, trying to fix people, living in the past or the future, giving up because it was hard, being overly critical of yourself, not being vulnerable and not facing your fears, being unhappy with life.
Living the life that you consciously create and deserve is the best reward you can give yourself.

Move from worst-case scenario to worth-case scenario. |
The one question that sticks to us, sucking the best of our positivity, clinging onto us like a leech in the monsoon is 'what if all this doesn't work out?' What if all this spirituality yackety-yak sounds great as a theoretical white paper but in real life, it's just a blank workbook with no practical ideas. What if, while walking on the spiritual path, you lose your way and are eaten alive by the very monsters that you are running away from.
But what if, just for this moment, you consider the possibility of another possibility? What if the fear and trepidation can be overcome by faith and love? What if the result ends up being the one you desire, not the one you fear? What if the choices you make lead you to answers instead of being pulled in a labyrinth of endless questions? What if, instead of the story being written with an ending you despise, it unfolds beautifully to elevate your experience in this lifetime? What if the worst-case scenario that has been encroaching your mind can be freed with a worth-case scenario?
You will never know till you try, till you show up, till you choose a life for yourself that you want to create, not a life you have been given. You'll never have the answers till you put yourself out there in the world, become actively involved in your life and detach yourself from the outcome of your show ups.
What if the worst-case scenario of losing those who have been a part of your journey is, in reality the thing you want, to walk on your path. What if it is their beliefs and expectations of you that are keeping you cold and uninspired. Try a new approach.
What if the job that has helped you own everything you have today, without you realising it, owns you and your dreams as well. Replace the worst case with a worth case. Maybe this job is the prison that you need to break free from.
Maybe the worst-case rejections you are meant to receive are the universe's way of protecting you from scenarios that are not even in your consciousness.
What if things have to fall apart to come back together in beautiful ways? What if you have to fall out of love to find love for yourself? What if, in the end, it's all worth it?
