You'll meet over a hundred people in the coming week. You will wonder what their stories are, what pain they are feeling, what suffering they are going through. You would never know their side of their story but you can act on your side. Bless them.

Bless your house help in the morning so that she goes through the day without being told that she is not good enough, and she finds peace with her work and takes her happy self
to her children back home. Bless the fruit waala that he can sell all fruit before lunch and can enjoy the evening with a hot cup of tea with his wife. Bless your dhobi that he can get lots
of clothes today to iron and can pay his son's school fees tomorrow. Bless your friend who
is starting a new project today so that he can live his purpose. Bless your Uber driver that he gets back-to-back rides so he can take an off tomorrow for his first anniversary. Bless your cook that she can one day start her own home kitchen. Bless the labourer on the cycle that he gets to his site on time without a puncture and gets a full day's wage. Bless your children that they write liberating stories of their childhood into their nervous system and not of a stifled upbringing. Bless your partner for they have been your cheerleaders for life and that they always have the love and health to show up as their most authentic self. Bless your parents for the beliefs, some limiting, some empowering, all that have made you the person you are. Bless your boss for the trust she has in you. Bless your team member for the trust they show up with. Bless a random stranger so that their day becomes full of miracles.
Bless them that pure joy touches their lives.

Blessing is the ultimate form of generosity and comes from a space of abundance. And in that moment when you bless someone, you stop obsessing over yourself and your own
self-created problems.

An act of blessing is an incredibly positive experience. And those who know, just know that blessing someone is blessing self. Bless now. Bless more.

Love starts with knowing that the universe pretends to be made of matter and energy,
but the truth is something entirely different.
|
|

The universe is made of love. Just pure love.
|
|
| |
|
|
| |
And what has made the universe has made us too - the earth, the dolphins, whales, tigers, amoeba, hummingbirds, apple trees, bees, honeycombs, everything.
|

|
|
| |
We are love and our love for the universe, the divine is complete. Yes, it becomes conditional at times when hardships hit us between the eyes. We try to get its attention through prayers and rituals. We try to strike under the table deals - you change the circumstances and my payout will be a pilgrimage, an act of generosity or some form
of abstinence, you say.

The universe is amused for sure but puts forth a counter deal - love me unconditionally and eternally. And when we do, we realise we love everything about it. Our love is eternal.
|
|

|
|
| |
That's what love is and was meant to be. To be unconditional. Because when we love someone for reasons, the love also vanishes when the reasons vanish. Because the reason to love someone is not permanent. Beauty is not permanent, neither are the riches, nor the people themselves - we are ever-evolving beings and what we are today is not what we will be tomorrow. We change and so does the reason people loved us for.

So how do we love unconditionally, we ask? By first loving ourselves unconditionally.
|
|
| |
|
|
| |
Love is taking every part of yourself as one. Accepting every part of you that you have rejected, repressed, denied or disowned over the years. And as you see yourself as whole, complete and absolutely lovable you'll see that in others too. Unconditional love is eternal because it has no reason. It is just love. Come from love, not for love.
|
|
| |
|
|
| |
But unconditional love does not mean unconditional tolerance. Draw the boundaries,
keep yourself protected from the energy of others, hold love for everyone but you don't have to hold them close to you. You can love a bee but you can protect yourself from its sting. You can love someone but keep yourself safe from their negativity and toxicity.
You can love but you can protect too. That's the only way it should be conditional.
