To view this newsletter in the browser, click here                 Issue #125       A newsletter from Creativegarh to help you live a life of passion, purpose and meaning.         Success is an inside job.                     Success is not being at the mercy of an AI algorithm that defines whether your art is worthy of being liked or shared by a hundred or a thousand people. Or if it was seen by most of your followers within the first ten minutes of your posting it; if not, it's a sign of your woefully inadequate skills and your disastrous talent. Success is not the followers, the popularity, or the critics waxing eloquent about you. Success is not being recognised shopping in DLF Emporio with a coterie in tow.           Success happens in the privacy of your being. It happens when you become the first person to see and read what was created through you. Success happens when, instead of hoarding your work in a folder called ‘writings’ on your desktop or shoving the drawing book under the bed or letting your poems languish on a napkin picked up at a bar, you put it out there in the world before the first like, the first share, or the first comment. Success happens when you are ready to put your creations into the world instead of waiting for that one fine day, expecting your art to miraculously grow wings and fly out into the world on its own. Success is when you are ready to let go of your ideas and allow them to breathe and live as a part of the universal creation. Success is not what the current project brings back to you—fame, fortune, or accolades—but what you bring to your next project irrespective of how the last one panned out. Success is not what you feel on the outside but the fulfillment you feel on the inside in the privacy of your own being. Success is not the incessant ringing of the cash register but a continuous melodious chiming in your soul that you feel when you show up for something that is bigger than you, for a creation that transcends your limitations; a poem that heals more people than just your own ego of being published in an anthology; an artwork that allows people to add colour, lines, and structure to their own emotions; a piece of furniture that becomes a sacred space for a workaholic to come back home to every evening.           Success is creating beautiful works with love. Creating code, films, relationships, furniture, books, stories, art, recipes, telescopes, software, shawls, lamps, flower decorations, and lives without fear and without expectation of accolades. Feeling alive when creating and bringing alive what is meant to be created through you is the only barometer for success.                 And one day, hard work will become heart work.                     The role of nature is to help us evolve. Nature flows in a divine rhythm, going through its own cycle of creation, preservation, and destruction. Within this cosmic cycle, it engulfs our lifetime in its warm folds, sometimes acting like a mother, sometimes a friend, sometimes a preacher, and sometimes a confidante.           Nature holds space for us through everything that we go through and grow through. When you feel alone and desolate, pull out a rug and a pillow under the starlit sky. Have a conversation with the stars. Even if life feels cold and distant, they always find something within themselves to keep shining, even on the darkest nights. Let the stars guide you home. Always remember that you come from the stars too, made of the same stardust as them.           When you feel that you've reached stagnation and a saturation point, meet the ocean for a tête-à-tête. The ocean knows a thing or two about always flowing and not holding onto anything. Remember that you are 70 percent water. Cry, cleanse, flow. Make your own path.           When you feel that there’s too much taking up space in your life, meet fire. She is warm and inviting, and she knows how to burn all beliefs, fears, and attachments to ashes. Remember that you are fire too. Burn the old, tame the pain, ignite a new you.           Go outdoors and meet the wind when you feel that you need new answers. The wind will flow, bringing answers from different worlds, realms, and your ancestors. Remember, you are also air. Flow. Be still. Allow. Walk into every room as if you belong there.           When you are ready to give up, meet Mother Earth. Allow her to hold you tight as she grounds you. She knows a lot about tenacity and perseverance and how to plant new ideas into the world. Never forget that you are Earth too. Ground yourself. Nurture yourself. Give freely.           And when you come to a point where you realise that you are your own mountain, come and sit in conversation with the mountains themselves. They will whisper in your ear that the only way to scale them is by taking one little step after another. Remember, you are the mountain. Be an eternal witness to your own life. Stand tall. Never cower.
