  Unpack your baggage.

  mark

You don't have to carry more than you need.

We all are on a different journey, a different path, yet the destination may be the same.
And each one of us packs differently for this journey. Some of us travel light, living on one change; some of us pack heavy.

Some of us carry a sling bag—just what we need for today. These are the ones who live in the present and carry with them only the joy of the moment or the pain for the time being. They don’t like carrying their past or future with them and live from day to day, feeling the lightness in their step, being and on their shoulders.

Some pack a duffel bag, a carry-on baggage to see them through a few days of collecting themselves before they fly a new path or board a new train of thought. They are the ones who love spontaneity but take calculated risks and allow for a little breathing before they get back to achieving.

And then some of us are secret hoarders. Wherever we go, we carry a trunk. We carry all the fears of the past and the present—the baggage of the past, the old stories, the keepsakes, the memories, the heirlooms, the love letters, the lucky charms, the albums of the good times; also the empty journals for the future, the clothes that may just fit, the footwear for
a rainy day and packaged food for the times when the new life is not palatable.

Whoever you are, wherever you are going, whatever you are packing, life calls upon you
to sit on the floor, spread out all your belongings and then take a hard call on what to carry and what to leave behind—what to pack carefully with bubble wrap and what to throw into
a pouch with other lesser essentials, what to iron out from the past and what to accept with all its wrinkles. Sit and take a long look at the inventory of your life. What’s still needed and what has run its course and doesn’t serve you anymore; what is adding to the clutter and what is making space for the new.

Packing light may be the only way on the path of becoming free from everything that connects us to our expectations, fears, grievances and attachments. Because when we drop the weight of the past, we walk towards the light faster.

Unpack yourself. You don’t have to carry more than you need.

A life transformation program.

The inner perfectionist is a gatekeeper. The inner child is a gatecrasher.

  mark

The inner child wants to break out from the confines of its self-made prison and walk free. It's the gatecrasher. The inner perfectionist has locked the gate and swallowed the key.
It's the gatekeeper.

The inner child wants to create for wonder. The inner perfectionist wants to create only
if there is a reward.

The inner child wants to just be. The inner perfectionist wants to become something.

The inner child is willing to let go. The inner perfectionist knows nothing but holding on.

The inner child finds every form of creation exciting. The inner perfectionist wants to create only what’s exciting.

The inner child thrives in silence. The inner perfectionist needs anxiety and conflict
to feel alive.

The inner child wants to create alchemy. The inner perfectionist understands nothing
but productivity and blacksmithing.

When the inner child creates, it gives away everything from the abundance it attracts.
The inner perfectionist gives away too little of itself because it fears scarcity.

The inner child seeks nothing but inner peace. The inner perfectionist seeks nothing
but external validation.

The inner child co-creates miracles. The inner perfectionist needs proof of concept for miracles before it starts creating.

The inner child allows itself to surrender to the universe. The inner perfectionist allows itself nothing but strategy.

The inner child makes the universe the centre of everything. The inner perfectionist makes itself the centre of the universe.

The inner child makes everything childlike. The inner perfectionist thinks everything
is childish.

The inner child understands just one language: the language of love. The inner perfectionist knows only the language of fear.

The inner child wants to evolve fearlessly; the inner perfectionist wants it to stay in a loop where perfectionism is worn as a badge of honour and evolving means taking
unnecessary risks.

The inner child wants to break the rules; the inner perfectionist has strict instructions
not to allow any wandering or exploration.
