  You are not lost.
You have just not found yourself yet.

You are not a ten rupees coin that has to be found in a pocket of old denim jeans that does not fit you anymore. You are not a pen that travelled in your bag from you have no idea where, but it now lies in an old clay pen stand that your child made in a pottery class decades ago. You are not an old picture in an older family album that lies at the bottom of a drawer in the study that has not been opened or dusted since you moved into this house. You are not a piece of china dinnerware that came along in your dowry but has never served a soul as it lies in a showcase collecting dust and nothingness. You are not a self-help book that you bought at an airport bookstore to kill time before a delayed flight and now the book lies on your office bookshelf sending out a clear message of abandonment. You are not a key that has no lock to go into but hangs dutifully on the key hanger next to the keys of your new dream machine.

No, you are not an object that is lost and has to be found by a search party. You are not
a thing that has had to be found and placed somewhere safe where it can’t be lost again.
No, you are not an item that has been forgotten by yourself and others and now needs
to be found in a spring cleaning episode before Diwali. That’s not how finding yourself works.

Finding yourself first starts with the belief that you are not lost. You are right where you are meant to be, not even a second or milimetre out of place. You are there, maybe buried under cultural conditioning, the fears of our older generations that have become beliefs and the opinions of others. You are there hidden from sight and hiding behind the stories and narratives you wrote as a child to feel loved, wanted, heard and connected. You are there, walking a familiar, comfortable path, fearful of taking the road less travelled, not realising that whatever comes in your way is the way.

Finding yourself is returning to yourself. To your most authentic self, to that moment in time when you were playful, fearless, free and an embodiment of pure love.

Finding yourself is unlearning everything about yourself and remembering yourself as your truest self.

Not that you can't find yourself in denim pockets. In the ten rupees coin live the stories of your past when there was not enough even for a square meal. You can find yourself in an old pen that is waiting to be picked up so that it can write the poems that sit within you. You can find yourself in old pictures and older dinner sets that remind you of life before everything got complicated and started tasting of pity. You can find yourself in self-help books that can give you new perspectives and you can find yourself in keys that are waiting to open new doors for you. You just need to pick yourself up from the hanger you've left yourself out on for years without even noticing yourself.

You are not lost. You just haven't found yourself yet.

A life transformation program.

  Throw the after-party first.
The dream will have no other option
than to manifest.

Imagine that your prayers have been answered, your sorrows have been cleansed and your dreams have been realised. Imagine that what you asked for has been dispatched to you by the universe and the tracking number says that it’s out for delivery.

Imagine how your life would be if your dreams were manifested and now start living
that life.

Wish it and then become it.

Become the realised dream. Become the person you want to be after the dream is realised. Become the answer to the challenges coming your way. Become the feeling you want to feel. Become the joy that you seek. Become the magic that you wish would happen. Become the miracles that you ordered. Become the love that you want to unbox. Become the happiness that you want the world to see.

And then have an after-party with all that you have become. Invite all those people who have helped you become who you are now: people from the past, people who loved you, people who hurt you and people you had to ask for forgiveness from. Call all those whose forgiveness you seek. Know that everyone is a gift in your journey and the best return gift you can give them is your love and authenticity.

Feel the party called life. Smell life as it would be. Let your nostrils get a test drive of things to come. What does it smell like? Doesn’t it smell of roses, love and joy, or does it have the putrid smell of fungus-infested dreams? Only you get to change the essence of your life.

Taste life as it would be. Drink-in the day, not drink in the day. What’s the flavour of this life? Take it in, all of it and feel it running in your veins. Does it taste like elixir, the drink of the gods, or does this taste like the sour shot of painful yesteryears? Only you get to change the palate.

Touch life as it would be. Feel the texture of this life. Does it feel like silk, a sign of the smooth life ahead? Or does it feel like coarse jute? Only you decide the weave.

Bring alive the life you want through all your senses and live in a world
that you believe in—the one that you deserve, the one that you were created for.

Live life fully. Give your dreams big FOMO. They will have no option but to come to the party too.
