It’s that place that is right ‘in-between’ where you were and where you want to be, but you really have no idea where you want to be or where this journey is going to take you. Right now, nothing is making sense and the safety of where you were is as alluring as the excitement of where you will be.           You know that something is happening, but you are not sure what it is. The uncertainty is making you fearful and the conditioning of having everything happen in an instant this moment is getting you anxious.           But in all this, something feels right, something just feels right. You can’t put your finger on it, but you can feel it in your heart. You can see the signs like Tetris blocks just falling into place, the jigsaw solving itself.           You can feel it in your breath. You are breathing slower, deeper and calmer and the things that used to take your breath away earlier now give way to tranquillity. You know something cosmic-sized is shifting in the universe in your favour and you can feel a galaxy move in your cells a tad too often.           The ‘in-between’ your old life and your new life is a sacred space that needs to be honoured and protected. It’s stillness and action seducing each other for some stolen moments of lustful joy. It’s the moment when the caterpillar is not a butterfly yet and the butterfly is not a caterpillar anymore but it’s still not a butterfly. It’s that moment when the drop of water is somewhere between being a river and being a cloud.           This in-between space may feel scary, it may feel overwhelming, it may feel unbearable. But in the feelings of gloom is a ray of joy, your inner wisdom knowing that you are exactly where you are meant to be.           Accept. Surrender. Trust the uncertainty. It’s all happening for you. Allow whatever has to emerge for you to emerge at its own pace. Don’t fast-track the universe and don’t put dreams on aphrodisiacs.           Roots need space to grow. Flowers need the right environment to bloom. Words need the right moment when they become sentences, for sentences to become lines, for lines to become paragraphs and for new stories to rewrite themselves on blank slates.           In-between are beautiful places. They need to be loved, not feared. They are pit stops on the beautiful pilgrimage we call life.                 Here's solid proof that you are the universe and the universe is in you.                     What if one day you realise that the purpose of the universe and yours is just the same— to serve the universe and the universe in return serving each of its beings. Including you. Because you are the universe too.           What if you have been created as the reason for a grain of rice to exist and persist? What if the grain of rice went through its entire journey only to realise its purpose of satiating your hunger?           What if a flute’s purpose is to be played only through your lips and fingers and fill the world with its airy, light, poetic and mellow sound?           What if the purpose of that one dandelion is to grow only to be blown away by your breath and the purpose of its seeds as you blow them in the air is only to carry your thoughts, love, dreams and wishes to your loved ones?           What if you are the purpose of one cotton plant to exist—to evolve into a shirt that you would wear on your first date?           What if you were the purpose of a dog—to love you unconditionally till the end of time—its or yours?           What if you were the purpose of the small drop of water as it became a wave and then an ocean and then a cloud and then a raindrop and then become a drop in a glass of water that you drink to maintain your electrolyte balance?           What if you were the purpose of a dog—to love you unconditionally till the end of time— its or yours?           What if you are the purpose of a honey bee’s entire life—to give you one spoon of honey for your weight-loss regime every morning?           What if the purpose of a tree was actually to feed you over your lifetime and once you perish, you become fodder for the same tree—so you could feed yourself again in your next lifetime?           What if you are created for a book to honour its purpose of changing a life and setting you on the path of redemption?           What if you are the purpose of another human being who has been sent here on the planet to be your angel and guide and she serves her purpose by loving you unconditionally and helping you learn an important lesson in giving without expectations?           What if you are the universe—where every worm, human, wolf, grain, shrub, fruit, rock, life, microorganism, cell and bird has been created to serve you with abundant, unconditional love—and that’s their purpose?
