When you sit down to write,
the stories will come.

  mark

As long as you are sitting down to write, a word will come. As you put one word after another, the stanza will come. As you write one stanza after another, the poem will come.
As you write one poem after another, the chapter will come. As you write one chapter after another, the book will come. As you write one book after another, the compendium will come. And then the epic will come.

As you pull out one weed after another, the rose buds will come. As one petal after another comes, the rose will come. As one rose is nurtured after another, a garden will come.
As the garden comes, one butterfly after another will come.

As you start putting one step after another, the walk will come. As you start walking, the path will come. The path will lead you to your triggers. The triggers will lead you to your wounds. The wounds will lead you to your healing. The healing will lead you to another path.
And that path will lead you to your destiny.

As long as you are willing to create, an idea will come. As long as you are willing to seek,
the answers will come. As long as you are willing to will good for others, purpose will come. As long as you are willing to honour your purpose, joy will come.

As long as you dream, there is a dream for you. As you get down to realising your dream, there is a door for you. As you walk through the door, there are opportunities for you.
As you take an opportunity, there is magic for you.

As you sit down to paint, there is a colour for you. As you colour one pixel after another, there’s a painting for you. As you paint one painting after another, there’s an exhibition for you. And when you want to express the overwhelming feeling of the exhibition, there’s another canvas for you, waiting for you to express your joy and youness on it.

As you keep singing, the song will come. As you keep making music, the tune will come.
As you keep going on stage, the audience will come. As you keep playing for the audience, you’ll realise, you never needed the audience in the first place. And then, more music will come.

Overcome every fear with one baby step and have the faith that the universe will appear to lead to you to the next step.

Not everyone wants to be saved from victimhood.

  mark

Victimhood is not your safe space. But it seems like it.

Victimhood is a tremendously deadly disease and being cured of it is as scary as being engulfed by it.

Interestingly, there is a cure available, a very potent one, already tested and proven on humans. But the problem is, the one in victim mode rarely wants to be saved. The victim only wants validation of how legitimate their victimhood is, because over time, victimhood has become their identity. And losing victimhood means losing one’s identity. So the victim holds on to all the blame, the shame, the anger, as if they are entitled to it.

A victim isn’t helpless, but finds solace in blaming the world. A victim is not unable to rise above their state of existence, but chooses not to. A victim sees everything happening in the world as happening to them and against them, not for them. A victim continuously blames the world and shames themselves for not being able to move beyond the experiences. Yet they keep the sense of victimhood alive by glorifying the circumstances that led them to living a lowly, boring, meaningless life. The one in victimhood chooses to be in victimhood because here lies the sanctum of an unlived life, the graveyard of dreams, the playground of safety, the comfort of the known, the cushioning from the trials and tribulations of an unknown, uncontrollable, unpredictable life. It’s a choice the one in victimhood makes. And what you are not changing, you are choosing.

There is a cure, however. But it is hard work. That’s probably why it scares the victim. Because going into your own catacombs and facing your own demons is not easy. And many of these demons are self-created, so when the skeletons come out from the closet, the victim loses the only anchor they were latching on to. Loss of victimhood also means letting go of a narrative that has been the glue holding together the cracks in one’s life.

Healing is hard work. An unquestionable acceptance of life and unconditional surrender to it are what nightmares are made of, because we want to control the outcome of everything. Because we always want to create a safe space for ourselves, even if it’s at the risk of staying in the past. In victim mode.

Healing is hard work. Living in victimhood is also hard. Choose your hard.
