A newsletter from Creativegarh to help you live a life of passion, purpose and meaning.

Be so passionately alive that they
can’t tell if you’re crazy or divine.

  mark

Is there one thing - that one thing - which you are so passionate about that people can’t decide whether you are crazy or a genius? That one thing in which the lines between madness and brilliance simply blur, where words like insanity, delusion, awe and wonder
all seem to share the same meaning.

What is that one thing that sends you into a frenzy of rapture every time you bring yourself to it and even time doesn’t have the time to know its own state of being? Sometimes your passion makes it run fast and minutes seem like moments. Sometimes it slows down so much that every moment feels like a lifetime.

What is that one thing that sets your soul ablaze, burning so brightly that the world has to squint - not because what they see is wrong, but because they are unfamiliar with that
kind of light?

What is that one thing where the head plays its logic, but the heart gives two hoots and throws itself into the madness that mystics, poets, artists, inventors and seekers have experienced across ages - the madness of being passionately alive, akin to being possessed, not by ego but by spirit. The mind fears intensity because then it can’t control it.
But creation thrives on that very intensity.

In Sanskrit, there’s a beautiful word - Unmaad - the sacred intensity and ecstasy that
arises when your inner Shakti breaks free from the cage of logic. It’s a state of losing
control, of wild behaviour, of intense excitement that lifts you to a different plane
of ecstasy through creation. This is the space where you create like God - never from reason but from rapture, from wonder, from magic, from wild passion for putting a voice into the universe - small enough to create a butterfly effect, yet big enough to eventually create
a dent in the universe.

This is the state of flow - the state where self, time and effort dissolve. The state where passion consumes you. The world may call it obsession, but you call it home.

Follow your curiosity trail to find a passion that consumes you - the one that keeps you awake at night because its lust is never satiated and it doesn’t feel devoured by you. A passion so fierce that you stop fitting into people’s definitions of normal. Because you aren’t normal.
You are the second-best creator in the universe after God himself.

Be the volcano that doesn’t apologise for erupting - that’s the dharma of the volcano.
The lightning doesn’t explain itself, it just strikes. Be the thunderclap that wakes your own sleeping genius.

Let your passion scare you a little. Put that passion in the service of others and let it become your purpose. And then, let your purpose look like madness if it has to. Allow your inner child to embrace its inner wild.

A life transformation program.

The purpose of life is not to arrive
at your death safely.

  mark

It is not to arrive at the doors of death cocooned in the safety of a life with no risks and no adventure, a life where you have not shown up for just the very things that ignite your spirit and allow you to feel your magnificence.

The purpose of life is not to arrive at death without the scars of pain and suffering. It is not about playing it safe and fearfully, staying away from death, finally to come to the doors of death dressed in a rusted armour with no battle marks, having avoided death all your life.

You were not created to live under a rock, just to survive, eat, breathe, procreate and make a living. Because if that is the life you are living, then you are not making a living; you are making a dying. You are making a dying if you hate the things you are doing in life just to survive from one day to another, one vacation to the next, one party to the other,
one dopamine hit to the next.

Life is not meant to be lived in safe spaces and comfort zones. Those are the very spaces where dreams go and die immature deaths. Life is not meant to be lived in fear of judgement, failures, or not living up to the expectations of the world. And when such expectations creep in, you pull yourself out of the game itself, giving life a walkover
as you play victim, sitting in your favourite armchair drinking some regretini straight
from the bottle.

In life, you will always face one of the two pains - the pain of regret or the pain
of discipline. And the choice is always yours.

So get out of the armour, wear your shoes, look your sexiest best and walk into the world as if God sent you here. To live, to love, to heal, to give and to pour yourself into a cauldron of life, an active participant in your making and not a fearful innocent bystander.

The purpose of life is to know yourself, realise yourself and manifest yourself in this world so when death comes, you are completely emptied of every gift, desire, expectation, guilt, shame, anger and everything that has kept you protected and given you a narrative that a safe life is a big life. Put yourself out there. Don't think of minimising your loss,
think of where you can gain the littlest of expansion.
