  You don’t create anything.
You just create the right conditions
for creation to happen through you.

No gardener ever created a rose. And no poet ever made a poem, no engineer ever made a spaceship, no musician ever made a composition, and no artist ever made a painting. The rose, the spaceship, the composition, and the painting were always meant to exist, just at the right time, in that moment, in the world. The only power the universe ever gave you was not to make the rose but to create the right conditions in the world for yourself and for the rose to allow it to grow - through you.

You need to tend to the garden - your life in which you want the rose to grow.
You have to pull out the weeds of self-doubt, self-loathing, and self-hate to create a patch
of land that creation can use as its birthing ground. One belief has to be pulled out to make way for another.

The idea of the rose then has to make a home in you. A rose that not only adds its beauty and fragrance to the world but also invites you to dig into yourself and give names to the new feelings and emotions that come up in this journey.

The seed has to be sowed then - the seed of a new beginning, the seed of a belief that you deserve better, the seed that a life of suffering has been your choice all along, and you also have the choice to end your suffering in this very moment. A seed of seeing a new reality and bringing into existence what doesn't exist before. And just when this seed drops into the new conditions you have created, it bursts open like magic and sends a root into the ground and a shoot into the air for an idea to be planted firmly in this universe through you.

Then, for the poem to be created through you, you have to water it every day. You have to show up and allow yourself to get into a state of flow. You have to keep adding the necessary ingredients of you-ness as the universe adds its own enchantment through the sun, soil, and air for every verse to unfurl, word after word - not to show off, but only because it can - beautifully, delicately, lovingly.

Allow the poem to then become the seed for a million new poems on the planet. Allow for the bees and other poets to pollinate the world with the words, imagery, and emotions that came through you. As your poem lives its purpose, so will the water, so will the bee, so will the patch of land, and so will you.

You own nothing. We are all in one endless continuum, feeding and rejoicing in each other's creations. Allow yourself to shine in the process of the creation without the desire to be seen, without the need of accolades and rewards. Love is when the Divine whispers, I made the whole world for you, and you whisper back, and I laid the whole world down for you at your feet after being an instrument in your enchanting creation.

You don’t create the rose or the poem. You just create the conditions for the rose and the poem to bloom and come alive through you, so you feel the aliveness of life too.

Anger is not a weapon, it’s a shield.

  mark

When someone is always angry, pause, don't label, just listen.

Anger is just a shield, a quick reaction, a form of self-preservation and protection, a Superman suit over a brittle inside that can break anytime. What looks like rage, hate and anger on the outside is often pain that was never allowed a voice. A lifetime of ignored feelings, quiet suffering, and the deep ache of not being seen.

Anger is a secondary emotion. Beneath it lie the quieter ones like sadness, shame, grief, loneliness. Emotions that never got space, that were silenced, dismissed or punished. So anger became the only one that could roar loud enough to be heard.

Children who are not given a safe space to feel, who are told to ‘stop crying’, ‘be strong’, ‘don’t be dramatic’, grow up to be adults who carry fire in their chest. And when the world continues to ignore their truth, the fire spills out. And how!

It’s easier to stay angry than to sit with grief, betrayal or abandonment. Also because anger gives us a sense of power and control, albeit a false one. Letting go would feel like defeat, where the stories that we have written crumble to the floor word by word, and what we are left with is our wound, which we don’t want to face.

The thing is that when they were never given a place to express themselves, anger gives them the audience. Being loud gets them what sadness cannot: it gets people to actually stop and hear them. Even if it’s a negative connection, it’s still a connection. Anger becomes their core emotion because it’s the easiest to express. They might get the room to go quiet and be heard, they might control the conversation they always wanted to, but truth be felt, they get to avoid going quiet themselves and having a deep conversation with their own being.

Anger is not the problem. It is the smoke rising from a fire that has been burning
for too long.

It’s the fire that needs to be doused, not the smoke that needs to be cleared. Behind every angry outburst is a child inside, desperate to be held. Behind every slammed door is a soul that once wanted to be heard. Behind every entitlement not met is an angry adult-child who suppressed his feelings of unworthiness, neglect or deprivation.

Anger is not a personality flaw. It’s a survival strategy, and all survival strategies were once brilliant, for they helped you stay afloat in an unsafe world.

Healing begins when you realise that you are not that child anymore. You don’t have to scream to be heard. You don’t have to rage to be respected. What you needed was someone to sit beside your sadness and say, I hear you, I see you, your feelings matter.

And today, you can be that someone for yourself.
