A newsletter from Creativegarh to help you live a life of passion, purpose and meaning.

No time spent with yourself is wasted time. It’s sacred time.

The novel that never got published. The recipe that never got made. The painting that never got completed. The tune that never got fully composed. The poem on the napkin that never got finished. The wall that never got coloured. The journal that was left half way. The poncho that was left half knitted. The phone call that was left unanswered because you wanted more time. The car that was researched on but never bought. The vacation that never moved out of the planning stage. The job that was applied for but never followed through on. The pictures that were made but never edited. The glue gun that still lies unpacked - the one bought after three days of intense research and reading every review. The day spent buying old classics so you could put them in your home library. The pottery session that went fine but you never went to that part of the city ever again. The play you watched all alone and the calls you made to directors thereafter wanting to play a part. The shopping for Worcestershire sauce and Tabasco because you wanted to bring alive the hidden bartender in you. The walks in the park wanting to understand the secret lives of birds and earthworms.

The shoddy writing, the grotty acting, the tatty sewing, the slipshod painting, the messy cooking, the inelegant dancing, the unsavoury life choices.

The weekend in pyjamas. The weekday being unproductive. The bus ride to nowhere.
The long detour in the car. The purposeless walk in the park. The unfinished to-do list.
The uncountable hours of daydreaming. The time spent watching strangers in coffee shops
and sidewalks. The unplanned midday naps. The hours spent on ideas that never saw
the light of day.

A hobby that remained what it was meant to be - a hobby and not a side hustle. A side hustle that took away the best of you but never took off.

Deep conversations with oneself late into the nights. The brawls with the inner demons. The fights with one's resistance. The arguments with your higher self. The pillow talk with your inner child.

Life is not measured in productivity but presence. No time spent with yourself is wasted time. It's sacred time.

A life transformation program.

We’re all sent here with a spiritual backpack.
  What’s in yours?

  mark

You had taken a hot shower, dabbed on the finest perfume in the heavens, and were ready to be reincarnated and walk into the homes of your two mothers - Gaia - mother earth and the womb of your mother. You were singing ‘my bags are packed and I am ready to go’, while having a last minute briefing from your angels and guides? And if you go back to that moment in cyclic time, what were you really carrying in your spiritual backpack?

No clothes for sure because you were wearing the five sheaths - koshas - the five instruments of life force - earth, water, fire, air, space. But your guides did pack the other 14 elements of your astral body, the only baggage of your past lives, if you may.

In an intricately sewn inside pocket of your backpack was your pre-birth intention - a pre-birth contract that you signed with the universe - a detailed outline of your purpose, your reason for being. But you can’t read this contract because it was written in invisible ink only to be made visible word by word as you mined your beautiful talents, gifts and purpose in the world and used it in the service of others. The appendix to this contract was your mission on the planet for this lifetime.

There were the soul contracts also with those whom you would encounter in this life as gifts, lessons, and tests. All to meet here again for a group hug after your and their missions on earth would be complete.

Also in your spiritual backpack was your syllabus for the lessons in this lifetime. A syllabus that was not meant to be read and the lessons that had to be learnt by overcoming the pain and suffering, not theoretically. Only then that lesson would reveal itself to you, but still in cryptic language for then a surprise test would see if you really have learnt it.

There was also a guidebook of intuition and the signs you will receive in your temporary visit to keep guiding you to follow your path. Many times these signs would come to you with no form or substance and you would need words to clothe them.

Naam Japo is also how new neural pathways are formed. Repetition changes the repeater and when you return again and again to the Divine name, the mind slowly begins to settle, the scattered self centers itself and the restless mind finds an anchor. And then, one fine day, in that silence, you begin to hear the God who was never absent.

And finally there was a little note from the divine itself.

I am in you and your mission is to find me and manifest me through everything that you do. Tat tvam asi.
